    It would be great to have a shortcode to include a single map location inside a normal post or page.

    Implemented in trunk:

    new shortcode [display_single_location], accepts ‘id’ as parameter with value the location ID you want to show

    You can download it from:

    http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/events-manager-extended.zip

    Of course, the trunk often contains untested or only partially-tested new code, so it generally shouldn’t be used at a live site.
