I’m having a bit of a confusing problem.
I have a location that Google Maps is not putting in the right place on the Event page: http://www.serramesa.org/events/120/smpg-meeting/ or on the Location page: http://www.serramesa.org/locations/4/serra-mesakearny-mesa-library/
But it *is* showing in the right place on in the Admin “Edit Location” page (which I know you can’t see): http://www.serramesa.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=events-manager-locations&action=edit&location_ID=4
And if I put the address straight into Google Maps, it comes up in the right place:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=9005+Aero+Drive,+San+Diego,+CA+92123
So, what’s different about the map on the admin page and the maps on the Event and Location pages?

Wed 15 Jun 2011 at 04:43 #47936AnonymousInactiveNo, the map on the Event page and the Locations page are showing the wrong location (with the pin in the wrong spot, even though the bubble lists the correct address). They’re showing a spot near San Diego Mesa College, but they should be showing a spot near Montgomery Field (as on the direct link to Google Maps above).
Wed 15 Jun 2011 at 21:31 #47937FrankyKeymasterJust tried this at home and works just fine … try editing the location again and press save again, sometimes the geotagging in google maps doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do: in the frontend I use calculated longitude/latitude coordinates (I ask google for longitude/latitude coordinates in the admin backend after displaying the location map, but I can’t do that in the front because google doesn’t like it if you do that too often).

Tue 23 Aug 2011 at 05:32 #47939AnonymousInactiveKia Ora, the problem described above is happening to me also. I’ve tried editing the location again and pressing save again, then changing the location on my event page. still the same problem. The location pin always ends up in the wrong location – normally adjacent to the address that i’ve specified on the Events Page. Any ideas???
Tue 23 Aug 2011 at 05:48 #47940AnonymousInactiveI re-edited the location file to the incorrect pin location that was being displayed, and get this, the location pin didn’t move..!?!?!?!
I also tried changing the address location to the neighbours address, and the pin still won’t move and continues to display the incorrect address and pin location..?????
??????
