To make the events filter perfect for my situation, I would like to do the following:
1) Change the “Submit” to “Filter”
2) Add a “Filtered by” and the list of categories the list is currently filtered on
3) and/or make the Select box highlight the currently selected categories
When I did my own filter form, I was able to do all this and I may revert to that way. But I was hoping you could point me in the right direction and I might be able to use hooks/filters to get this to work.
For the “Submit” => that’s an option for the shortcode, and normally the select box should show the selected categories. I’ll check that out.
