Hi,
since the last plugin update, confirmation email of RSVP are sent with the object in english instead of italian. Do i have to set something again? i gave a look in EME settings but didn’t find email object settings
thx
Tue 20 Sep 2011 at 21:54 #48715FrankyKeymasterDo you mean the mail “subject”? That’s not a setting, but the string has changed and probably not translated into Italian yet
Wed 21 Sep 2011 at 08:43 #48716AnonymousInactiveyes sorry, mail “subject” it’s not translated.
Can i edit some file?
Wed 21 Sep 2011 at 11:05 #48717FrankyKeymasterIf you’re willing to update the Italian translation, I can walk you through it.
Wed 21 Sep 2011 at 23:41 #48718AnonymousInactivei’m very busy these days, but ok, we can try, obviously i don’t know how much work is needed 😉
another question: is there a way to show attendees public list ordered by the time they subscribed? In my case it’s important to assign them a priority by subscription time order (older subscription > higher priority), and all attendees have to know this order.
I noticed that at the moment they appears in a casual order: http://www.formulasim.com/events-5.html?event_id=40

Tue 4 Oct 2011 at 13:36 #48720FrankyKeymasterFor the attendees sorting: since you can book more than once, you need a booking list for that, not an attendee list. For this a feature request exists.
For the translation: you need a tool (eg. poedit) and using the file eme.pot as a template (and the corresponding po file for the language you want, if it exists). And then mail me the resulting .po and .mo files.
Wed 5 Oct 2011 at 13:07 #48721AnonymousInactiveOK, i followed your instructions and i loaded the eme.pot as template and the file eme-it_IT.po directly from the last version of EME.
Didn’t find anything wrong in it, everything is translated, i did a search in poedit with the word “reservation” and i didn’t found anything in translations strings.
But i receive a RSVP confirmation email with subject:
“Reservation for ‘event-name’ confirmed”
instead of:
“Prenotazione confermata”
It might be useful for you to know that the last time i received a confirmation with correct subject was september 3rd, the wrong one started with the next confirmation email september 17th
The same thing happens with RSVP email subject for reservations cancelled.
in eme-it_IT.po “Reservation confirmed” is correctly translated with “Prenotazione confermata”
Thanks for the booking list answer, i’ll try to configure it 😉
Wed 5 Oct 2011 at 13:50 #48722FrankyKeymasterI know that in the English file it says “Reservation for ‘%s’ confirmed”
In Italian that should be “Prenotazione per ‘%s’ confermata” I guess …
Wed 5 Oct 2011 at 15:21 #48723AnonymousInactiveI think it could be better
‘%s’: prenotazione confermata
That could solve the lack of the article that in italian is needed after “per”
E.G. “prenotazione per il concerto confermata”, “prenotazione per la partita confermata”, “prenotazione per l’incontro confermata” etc.
a question: do you think is it possible to have in future plugin version a RSVP email subject template to configure in EME options?
Fri 23 Mar 2012 at 09:36 #48724AnonymousInactiveI still can’t figure out, when someone signs for reservation, he receives an email with the subject: “Reservation for ‘event’ confirmed” instead of “Prenotazione per ‘event’ confermata.
in eme-it_IT.po all seems to be correct, at line 1123 we have:
#: dbem_rsvp.php:355
msgid “Reservation confirmed”
msgstr “Prenotazione confermata”
i suppose this should translate what is wrote in eme_rsvp.php, line 801:
if($action!=””) {
if ($action == ‘approveRegistration’) {
eme_send_mail(sprintf(__(“Reservation for ‘%s’ confirmed”,’eme’),$event_name),$confirmed_body, $person,
But the translation still doesn’t work
Fri 23 Mar 2012 at 10:11 #48725FrankyKeymasterI haven’t updated the translation for italian, as I don’t speak/read/write italian.
The language file would need to be refreshed with the template file, since “Reservation for ‘%s’ confirmed” is not present in there, but again: it’s useless without the whole translation being done.
Mon 26 Mar 2012 at 13:23 #48726AnonymousInactivethx Franky,
i did understand that only the translation wasn’t updated.
After your last answer i opened it with poedit and now i understand what you were saying, this time i tried to update with eme.pot, and checking strings and translations i found the new template doesn’t match with outdated italian file in many parts.
Unfortunately my english isn’t so good to update the whole italian translation for the plugin, but i was able to update the few strings I needed.
Thx for the help! 😉
