    Hi,

    Has anyone managed to add custom fields for Performers or Speakers of an event?

    For example: I’m using the EME plugin to show events for a local brass band. We would like to be able to add a list of performers to each event (such as ‘Neil Thomas – Clarinet’ etc). Ideally I would like to do it in the same way as locations work, where they can be added in the admin area. Then when I add a new event, I could just select the performers by ticking appropriate boxes for them to be displayed. It would be amazing if they could be linked too (the same as locations) and have their own dedicated pages.

    Does anyone know if this sort of thing has already been done?

    Hmmm, for now I’m afraid this is not really possible. You’ll need to enter the info in the event details. Creating a seperate page in WP for each performer is something basic of course, and you can point to that link for each performer …

    Here’s a hacky idea, brandified — create an EME Category for each of your performers, “Neil Thomas”, “John Smith”, etc.

    Then you can pick them from a list when creating your event.

    Then in your Single Event Format you can say “PERFORMERS FOR THIS SHOW: #_CATEGORIES” and a list of performers for that event will appear.
