Hi Franky,
My client has a new requirement: an instructor is offering 2 classes this summer, and the student gets a discount on each if they sign up for both. I searched for similar requests, but didn’t find any.
I was thinking I could add a 3rd event for the dual registration that wouldn’t display anywhere – maybe via a bogus category? I could make it accessible only via a link from each of these single events. It could have custom attributes with the URL of the associated events, and somehow (!) book both, using those URL’s. Then customize the booking recorded message to indicate that both registrations occurred.
As you know my technical skills are rather thin, and obviously the ‘somehow book both’ aspect is the critical one… I have no idea if that’s feasible – and even if it is – if I’d be able to accomplish it. Is this a crazy idea?
Maybe via a filter after the booking for one of the two events? Then you would check if he booked for the other event and give the discount if wanted; the function to use here would be eme_get_bookings_by_person_id()
