Franky,
I’ve updated EME to the latest version (1.0.3).
Now the content on the single event pages is not showing up anymore.
Just the title is there, but no event info.
The content on the (dynamic) event page is not showing up as well.
Tried to deactivate and activate the plugin, but the issue remains.
I’m running WordPress 3.4.2.
Mon 17 Sep 2012 at 08:21 #49930FrankyKeymasterHmm … have you checked the EME setting called “Event page”, it should point to a valid page. Maybe it got emptied during the update …
Mon 17 Sep 2012 at 12:17 #49931AnonymousInactiveI checked the event page but it was not empty. I set it to empty and saved settings. Then I selected the correct page again and saved settings, to make sure EME had the correct page. Still, the content for the Event page and the Single event pages is missing.
Mon 17 Sep 2012 at 15:12 #49932FrankyKeymasterWell, I can’t think of a change I made that would have this kind of effect.
Do you see anything in the errorlogs of your webserver? Maybe php is error-ing out …
And pass along the url, so I can at least take a look at the generated pages.
Mon 17 Sep 2012 at 16:37 #49933AnonymousInactiveI just downgraded to version 1.0.2 of EME and now the content shows up again. So I guess it has to do something with the version upgrade.
I just increased the memory limit to 64MB (via wp-config.php) because there were some errors related to the memory limit in the error log. However, this did not solve the issue with EME.
Site is now running EME 1.0.3 again.

Mon 17 Sep 2012 at 17:51 #49934FrankyKeymasterWeird. Would you mind sending me an admin account for checking things out at your end? My mail: liedekef [at] telenet.be
Mon 17 Sep 2012 at 19:17 #49935AnonymousInactiveOk, I think I wait with the update 😉
Mon 17 Sep 2012 at 21:15 #49936FrankyKeymasterWell, I just tried updating locally, even updated a wordpress version and everything went just fine and all content still shows up ok.
Tue 18 Sep 2012 at 09:21 #49937AnonymousInactiveFranky, I sent you an admin account. Please let me know if you found the issue.
Tue 18 Sep 2012 at 09:33 #49938AnonymousInactiveJust tried on my localhost installation and the same issue occurs. Content disappears. Both on WordPress 3.4.1 and WordPress 3.4.2. EME 1.0.2 displays content; EME 1.0.3 only shows titles.
Tried on localhost with TwentyEleven and there the content shows up, so the issue has something to do with the (Genesis Child) theme I guess.
Tue 18 Sep 2012 at 11:13 #49939FrankyKeymasterOk, you’ve put me on the right track here. There’s one change that prevents loops for “good” themes, but some older themes are not working correct.
I’ve corrected this now for you, and will make an option of this, so people can turn it on/off for their theme. The change in question that I reverted for you is this one:
http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/518773/events-made-easy/trunk
so I’ll make an option for this …
Tue 18 Sep 2012 at 12:22 #49940AnonymousInactiveThank you Franky!
By the way, I’ve deleted your admin account on my site, so if you ever need an admin account on the site again I’ll recreate it.
Thu 20 Sep 2012 at 12:21 #49941AnonymousInactiveI encountered the same problem with the PageLines theme. When updating the Evens Made Easy plugin, all of the events are no longer visible. I will wait until an updated version of eme is posted before upgrading the plugin again.
Thu 20 Sep 2012 at 21:35 #49942FrankyKeymasterI think I found a better solution, but I’ll test with the following themes:
– twentyeleven
– aras
– pagelines
– Genesis Child
So be patient a bit, I need some sleep first 🙂
Thu 20 Sep 2012 at 22:03 #49943FrankyKeymasterIf you want, please try to replace the file eme_events.php from 1.0.3 with the one from trunk:
http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/events-made-easy/trunk/eme_events.php?rev=601786
It should work with all themes …
Mon 24 Sep 2012 at 20:40 #49944AnonymousInactiveI have the same issue, the I get the listing fine, but the individual event does not display, onlyt the page header. Have not done anything except update to 1.0.3.
Franky ket me know if you need anything…
Mon 24 Sep 2012 at 20:51 #49945FrankyKeymasterDid you try the fix posted above?
Wed 26 Sep 2012 at 20:06 #49946AnonymousInactiveHi Franky,
Thanks for making a great plugin. I am on this page because I have having the same problem on my Genesis theme. I tried using the above file but that didn’t fix it for me.
Also, the map no longer includes the address.
I used the shortcode on my events page to display the events but when you click on one event all will display on the single events page.
So those are 3 differences with the update version.
url: http://thereferencepoint.com/events/
Can I get a copy of the prior version?
Wed 26 Sep 2012 at 21:34 #49947FrankyKeymasterWhat theme are you using? And *never* use any content of your own directly on the events page (see the explanation next to the EME setting “Events page”)
And the address is probably something else, nothing changed there.
Thu 27 Sep 2012 at 16:33 #49948AnonymousInactiveI am having the same issue. I am using builder with a child theme.
Edit: That fixed it for me to upload the eme_events.php from the link you provided.
Thank you,
Paul
Thu 27 Sep 2012 at 21:07 #49949FrankyKeymasterok, I released 1.0.4 with this fix.
