Events Made Easy › Forums › Feature requests › Add Placeholders to SEO Events permalink prefix
Tagged: SEO
Hi Franky,
I was thinking that it would be good for SEO to have the ability to use placeholders to add the location to the Events Permalink prefix (eme_permalink_events_prefix
).
In my example, I use ‘events’ in that field.
It would be good if you could use events/#_location to make the url as follows:
http://yoursite.com/events/location/event_id/event-name
This is because google looks for your query words in the URL also which should make this more search engine friendly if searching for “events at location name”.
Does this sound like a useful feature or not?
TIA
Useful? For me not 🙂 Since I’m sure google doesn’t use the url for indexing, but anyway …
It is possible to do so, but it would require that I change the simple SEO function I use now would become more complicated.
