I wrote some my owm restrictions into htaccess file.
when EME Plugin is ready for new update in wordpress update core, my htaccess file is changed and then, of course, internal server error 500 was displayed.
EME itself doesn’t change htaccess, wordpress does for permalinks. Internal server errors can only be solved by looking at your webserver logfiles, there it should say why it fails.
