I LOVE this plugin but I’m having an issue when viewing a single event. It shows up twice. In the “precontent/header” area and again where it’s suppposed to in the content area. I’m using the Flare theme (Themeforest). Can anyone direct me on where/how to fix this? You can see what I mean here: http://learnxtract.com/events/6/free-seminar-on-cleansing-the-lymphatic-system-the-right-way/

Check the Default single event format settings on the “Events” tab in the EME settings. Also make sure that the event-specific settings don’t duplicate anything from the global settings.

Look at other pages and see how they’ve specified what goes into that div. Not being familiar with that theme, my gut says that if you leave that area empty, it defaults to duplicating the page content. Because EME is overriding the “events” page with its own code, this could be the reason for the duplicated event details. Are there any settings for the theme that let you change what happens with an empty “precontent” space?
Tue 27 May 2014 at 00:25 #52267FrankyKeymasterIt is for sure a theme thing. I’m more leaning towards the breadcrumb thingie between the 2 div’s.
I’m sorry, but I see that this is a paying theme so you should ask the theme builder for support. Most of the time this behavior means that the wordpress function the_content() is being used outside a loop. Or in your case: twice (can’t tell without the theme source and I can’t pay for it).I have one specific EME setting that you can try (no guarantee): “Theme loop protection”. It has 3 options (simple, older and desperate). The default is “simple” so try if one the other 2 options helps you.
If not: indeed it might be that the theme itself has options that changes this behavior (preview settings or so). Again: your theme support can help you there. And if the theme creators are willing to temporary “lend” me the theme, I can also take a look at it.Tue 27 May 2014 at 01:53 #52268AnonymousInactiveThanks for the quick answers! I would be happy to share the theme code with you if you’d like to look at it. I’ve tried all three options in the “Theme loop protection” but to no avail. I will also try to contact Themeforest and see if they can help. I REALLY want to use the EME plugin!
