Hello again.
Last night I updated the productive system to the newest eme (from 1.8.3 as far as I remember) and changed some things like they were on the testserver. Everything worked fine so far. Until one of the staff wanted to change some data of an event.
He only saw the donation button, the right sidebar (with author, status, category and so on) and the two buttons at the end, update event and delete event. Nothing more.
He pressed the update event button and it unluckily worked. It caused that the event got an 0000-00-00 Start Date und End Date in the DB. Then he called me and said that he can’t find the event anymore and he can’t see any options of an event. After some minutes, I figured out that Safari didn’t updated the Browsercache and instead showed simply nothing of the new Event-Tabs, but showed the two mentioned buttons at the end.End of Story: We need for the date a failsave please. Maybe some other people have this problem too. Safari is sometimes a little b*tch.
Second thing: He also misses the peoples list in an event. Its gone in the newest update. The list showed the people who booked this particular event and you could delete or message them from there. At first I didn’t realised that it was gone.
Is there a way to activate this again? Or why is it gone? What was the intention? So I can explain him.Greetings
Mon 30 Oct 2017 at 21:42 #56816FrankyKeymasterI do my best to not have things cached that don’t need it, but if a browser caches stuff anyway I can’t do much there. I already do the utmost for things to work with a minimal amount of data … but I’ll add a check for empty start dates.
The people bookings on the right are gone because:
– there wasn’t enough room to show much info
– when someone booked more than once, you couldn’t make the distinction
– when the list was long, it wasn’t manageable anymore
Long story short: it bothered me during some events, so I removed it.Tue 31 Oct 2017 at 15:55 #56817AnonymousInactiveYep, I dont wanted to say its your fault. I know the trouble with caching.
Get it with the people bookings. Question about this: How do I delete people from a specific event then?
I know there is a function for cancelling a booking but its linked with an email as far as I remember. So is there another way?
I talk to the staff again tomorrow. Right now they dont want to send another email to the customer because in 99% of the cases the customer already knows and canceled via email. They only want to delete the person for the specific event.
Tue 31 Oct 2017 at 16:40 #56818FrankyKeymasterGo in the submenu “Pending approvals” or “change registration”. There you can deny bookings (in the dropdown menu- and select whether or not mails should be send.
