    Hello Franky,

I would love to put a particular event on hold, I want to keep it visible but bookings should not be made at the moment as I’m trying to move the event to a different date. The issue is that I have bookings for that event and I’m in discussion to find the new date.

    So what can I do?

An easy thing would be nice to have to set the status from draft, public or private to on hold which would show a custom message (per event) to explain the reason this event is on hold.

Next step of my thought 🙂

What if I have a new date? Can I easily change the date and the bookings already there for that event will also get the new date? How can I accomplish that date move to ensure that the bookings will also be taken to the new event and not got lost?

    Cheers
    Joerg

Since the text needed to display will most probably need to be html etc … I just advise you to change the event format (and/or event notes) with another template (one that doesn’t include the booking form). It’s as easy as creating the template and pointing to it.
When you move an event to a new date, you have 2 options:
    – just edit the event and use the new date (best method). Advantage: it keeps the bookings
    – or copy/create a new event. Disadvantage: all bookings will still be owned by the old event. You can move each individual booking to the new event, but that’s not a mass-feature yet, so that will take time. In case you really need this functionality, feel free to make a donation 😉

I always underestimate the templates 🙂

That is already what I was looking for. And changing the date (editing the event is also what I was looking into).

    Thanks a lot Franky!
