Once again I need some expertise please because I am missing the understanding.

On the page of an event we list some of the data the attendees are entering into the registration form to be visible to other attendees. But to avoid overloading the page with text we use accordions like provided by plugins like this or that. I tried both.

The shortcodes of these plugins are part of a single event format template. It works to fill this accordions with EME shortcodes like [eme_bookings id=19] but not with more generic like [eme_bookings id=#_EVENTID].

I can imagine somehow that the ID from the page don’t get through to the other plugin within the page but is there a way to make it possible? I have no idea if that is something I can induce somehow or something that has to be done in the EME or the other plugins or both.

    Would you please enlighten me?

#_EVENTID only resolves if you use that shortcode inside an event format setting (like ‘single event format’). Outside an event, there’s no way of knowing what event you’re talking about, unless you provide the event id.

    Ok, thank you.

So i looked for other ways to collapse some text and found that there are also plugins that are providing functionality like showing and hiding text directly on the page. Haven’t come to the idea earlier.

Eme has conditional tags that can provide a similar functionality
