Events Made Easy › Forums › How do I … › Allow Member to RSVP NO
Maybe this is really simple but I’ve missed it. From what I can see, our users can RSVP yes with a default seat count of 1. Is it possible for someone to RSVP “no” (or seat = 0?).
Reason for asking is a client that would like to use this plugin needs to do more than just reserve space in a meeting, but they need to actively know if their members are NOT going. For example, if we have 10 people invited and we have 8 responses of yes, that would assume that the other 2 are not going. So, the admin team would continue to follow up asking “are you going or not” because they can’t tell if the 2 people missing just haven’t responded or literally cannot make it.
Does this make sense?
Set the minimum number of seats to book at 0, or use the “attendance” rsvp type when defining your rsvp parameters.
Thanks Franky,
I set the option in the Event to set minimum seats to 0 and when I did that, my seats dropdown list now shows a blank, then 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (because they can reserve up to 5 seats total). So, no number 0 is shown, just a blank.
If I leave it on the ‘blank’ and try to submit the form, it throws a validation error because it thinks I haven’t selected any seats.
I can’t use just the “attendance” setting because then my seats selection goes away.
Thoughts?
Confirmed, this should fix it:
sorry if i’m being obtuse, but, do I need to manually edit my files or are you suggesting that a patch will be forthcoming through the standard plugin “update” functionality?
Either you implement the mentioned changeset or you wait for the next release.
