Events Made Easy › Forums › Generic › Applied Update Version 1.8.9 and Lost All Events
Tagged: Lost Events
Oh my, talk about unintended consequences. WP version is 1.8
I’ve lost two events by trying to edit them. Trying to get a list of previous events or all events doesn’t return anything visible, just a gray frame.
I’ve tried clearing my cache but no change.
Ideas?
That means your used theme is probably blocking stuff (people often don’t realize that the frontend theme can have effects in the backend too).
First: switch to the default theme and try again. If that doesn’t work, go in the EME settings and check the option to put javascript in the footer and try again …
Thanks for your time Franky. I also noted the many types of Access rights. Is that for EME or WP? if EME, what is the “I get to do everything.” right?
TIA
Ron
Franky, it looks like the only event I’ve actually lost is today’s and I can live with that. I see the information that used to be in the right hand column is now tabbed. I don’t know if that is due to a EME change or something else I managed to do. Is there a change sheet I haven’t noted?
Again,
Thanks.
R
That is an EME change, done some changes ago (read the changelog: since 1.8.3, change: “Revamp the edit-event”
Again, I appreciate your time. Things like this is why I decided to take the risk to update without waiting on the official site administrator who appears to ignore many things. Hopefully I can stay caught up now and avoid future surprises.
