Hi,
Love the plugin, so many great features and very flexible to build, it’s great. I have got this working with no dramas on one of my testing servers. But now I have moved the site to a new dedicated hosting server on Linux.. the wordpress site and plugin seems to be working fine except for the calender wont advance to the single events page.

I have read through similar forum posts here and yes i have checked wp_head and wp_footer. Ive tried with and without the javascript embedding option.. I have even looked into .htaccess file to see whats going on and that seemed all fine.
Could you please supply any assistance on how I can get this fixed?
Many Thanks,
Billy
Fri 8 Apr 2011 at 14:39 #47457FrankyKeymasterEvery click on an events link gets redirected by the webserver to http://www.tri-alliance.com.au/event-race-calendar-new/ , so you might want to check your redirect configs and logs.

Thanks for the above… I took a look through my logs this what I found;
[My- IP] – – [18/Apr/2011:00:14:50 +1000] “GET /event-race-calendar-new/undefined HTTP/1.1” 404 8109 “http://www.tri-alliance.com.au/event-race-calendar-new/” “Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/10.0.648.204 Safari/534.16”
[My- IP] – – [18/Apr/2011:00:14:52 +1000] “GET /events/5/end-of-season-party/ HTTP/1.1” 301 737 “http://www.tri-alliance.com.au/event-race-calendar-new/” “Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/10.0.648.204 Safari/534.16”
It is redirecting regardless if its a calendar or a list. Any ideas to where I should be looking in the configs side things?
Thanks,
Billy
Sun 17 Apr 2011 at 18:10 #47459FrankyKeymasterEither it’s wordpress doing this or your webserver (or another plugin). So:
– for wordpress: go in “Permalink Settings” and press Save (even if you don’t change anything)
– for webserver: see the .htaccess files (if it is a apache server)
– for another plugin: disable all other plugins and see if it works then, then re-enable one by one

Thanks for your advice… I did the plugins but that didnt fix it, also re saved.. permalink and checked .htaccess all looked fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin.. I was looking through phpmyadmin and found something that may be of use…
I found it under wp_options > rewrite_rules
{s:30:”events/(d{4})-(d{2})-(d{2})”;s:71:”index.php?page_id=1806&calendar_day=$matches[1]-$matches[2]-$matches[3]”;s:13:”events/(d*)/”;s:43:”index.php?page_id=1806&event_id=$matches[1]”;s:16:”locations/(d*)/”;s:46:”index.php?page_id=1806&location_id=$matches[1]”;s:47:”category/(.+?)/feed/(feed|rdf|rss|rss2|atom)/?$”;
Any ideas to how I could fix this… A rough guess is to completely remove events manager extended out of the mysql database but i couldn’t find all of events settings in the db or does this do it automatically when you uninstal/reinstall?
Mon 18 Apr 2011 at 18:30 #47461FrankyKeymasterThese are the correct rewrite rules …
Sun 24 Apr 2011 at 10:52 #47462AnonymousInactivehmm could it have to do with the fact I have moved this website 3 times… My Testing Server > Clients Testing Server > Client Site?
Im really keen to get this fixed but just running out of ideas… Is there anywhere else in the db that the plugin may have altered that would change the way this is handled..
Or maybe even a specific linux module that needs to be loaded (asides from mod_rewrite)?
Sun 24 Apr 2011 at 18:21 #47463FrankyKeymasterWell, there’s the option to remove all data+settings when deactivating the plugin: go into the settings of EME and check the option “Delete all EME data when uninstalling”, then deactivate/reactivate the plugin and all EME options should be cleared. The rewrite rules seem to be another issue, but it’s worth a try.
