    eme-es_ES.po
    eme-it_IT.po
    eme-pt_BR.po
    eme-de_DE.po
    eme-fr_FR.po
    eme-nl_NL.po
    eme-sv_SE.po

    Hi Franky,

based on release 1.1.1 I create the eme-it_IT.po

Would you use it in your next release?

Sure. But I just updated the language template file eme.pot (see http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/events-made-easy/trunk/langs ), so can you first check if all strings are translated?
Then you can send the .po (and .mo) file to me: liedekef [at] telenet.be

    Hi Franky,

I want to translate Events Made Easy to Serbian.

Can you give me the link to the latest po file, or it is sufficient to take the one from the latest version of plugin?

You can use the template eme.pot file from here:

    http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/events-made-easy/trunk/langs

and also any po file you might need.

Just mail me the resulting po and mo files at liedekef [at] telenet.be

Here is how to translate any string in a language of your choice:

For editing/changing an .po file, download and install poedit. Then open the po file you want to change, and open as “template file” the eme.pot file. Then you’ll see all strings not (correctly translated). It’s very easy. Once you press save (after you finished editing), poedit compiles the mo file for you, so you can then send me the po and mo file.

I always forget to update the eme.pot (template translation) file, so mail me when you think it is out of date, otherwise get it from:

I’m using the Codestyling Localization plugin for translating, but I get the following message:

Loading Issue: Author is using load_textdomain instead of load_plugin_textdomain function. This may break behavior of WordPress, because some filters and actions won’t be executed anymore. Please contact the Author about that.

Shall I pick up the PO file from the distribution or from somewhere else?

Here is a page with some references: http://www.sensorgraphy.net/translations/

BTW … where are you located in Belgium? Do you know Aachen in Germany?

Look at this post in the thread for where to get the pot-file and what I use personally: http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?topic=call-for-translators/#post-46035

Concerning Aachen: I live in the Antwerp region (my address is on my home site btw), and I’ve been to Köhln already for a week for a client, but not Aachen 🙂

I updated the Dutch translation (not complete though, I skippped new lines for the rsvp and booking parts as I don’t use them).
Where do I find your address to mail it?

I already did some Dutch updates myself, but I welcome the extra work done by you. My mmail address is liedekef@telenet.be

It seems like the the strings are well-translated into Dutch. As I try to use the RSVP module, it looks like some part of the script doesn’t translate. The button “send your booking” is in english, as well as the subject strings in the confirmation e-mails. The allerts and forms are translated correctly. Is it me or some kind of bug?

That just means that not all strings are translated in Dutch. Concerning the mail subject: you have to edit these in the settings to be in a language of your choice (you can use qtranslate-like language tags in these settings to be multi-language compliant if you have qtranslate or a derivate).

Thank, I got it late… sorry.
I tryed to translate a bit there and export testing po mo files. After copying to LANGS dir with names eme-cs_CZ.po and eme-cs_CZ.mo i still have displeyed english strings on site. I also tried name files as cs_CZ.po and cs_CZ.mo. But it did not help, can you plese advice me?

    #58104

They need to have the name of the plugin. So in this case:
    events-made-easy-cs_CZ.mo
    events-made-easy-cs_CZ.po

But if there really is a need for it, I can re-include the removed languages …

I am ok to translate online, but I launched registration for the event yesterday and I need to translate some strings as soon as possible. I derived the names already from german version, but if I upload them into same location wp-content/languages/plugins plugin still work in English. I trued also eme langs folder, but plugin is still in English. It just about how to use temporary incomplete translation. Not all important messages are configurable in the plugin settings.

Put the files in wp-content/languages/plugins , that should be better …

    Hi Franky,
Thank you for yours plugins !
I will use probably two of them in the website of my diving association.
We have not enough money to make a donation but I want to give you something.
That why i spend my time to translate your EME in french. It’s a good deal isn’t it ?
I have some questions for you like what is IPN ? I find many lines like “Contactperson Stop Subject Format:” or “Contactperson Stop Body Format Template:”
can you tell me more about them to improve my translation ?
if necessary can we exchange more easily than via messages on this forum?
    Thank you in advance
    Regards
