Hi all,
if anybody wants to translate EME in their language, please let me know. The following language files exist but might already need some updating:
eme-cs_CZ.po
eme-es_ES.po
eme-it_IT.po
eme-pt_BR.po
eme-de_DE.po
eme-fr_FR.po
eme-nl_NL.po
eme-sv_SE.poSun 14 Apr 2013 at 14:18 #46027AnonymousInactiveHi Franky,
based on release 1.1.1 I create the eme-it_IT.po
Would you use it in your next release?
Antonio
Sun 14 Apr 2013 at 16:16 #46028FrankyKeymasterSure. But I just updated the language template file eme.pot (see http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/events-made-easy/trunk/langs ), so can you first check if all strings are translated?
Then you can send the .po (and .mo) file to me: liedekef [at] telenet.beTue 2 Jul 2013 at 08:24 #46031AnonymousInactiveHi Franky,
I want to translate Events Made Easy to Serbian.
Can you give me the link to the latest po file, or it is sufficient to take the one from the latest version of plugin?
Wed 3 Jul 2013 at 22:06 #46032FrankyKeymasterYou can use the template eme.pot file from here:
http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/events-made-easy/trunk/langs
and also any po file you might need.
Just mail me the resulting po and mo files at liedekef [at] telenet.be
Fri 28 Feb 2014 at 23:14 #46035FrankyKeymasterHere is how to translate any string in a language of your choice:
For editing/changing an .po file, download and install poedit. Then open the po file you want to change, and open as “template file” the eme.pot file. Then you’ll see all strings not (correctly translated). It’s very easy. Once you press save (after you finished editing), poedit compiles the mo file for you, so you can then send me the po and mo file.

I always forget to update the eme.pot (template translation) file, so mail me when you think it is out of date, otherwise get it from:
http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/events-made-easy/trunk/langs

Sat 19 Apr 2014 at 17:56 #51557FrankyKeymasterSure, it has been done some time ago but can need some updating.
Wed 6 Aug 2014 at 16:00 #52625AnonymousInactiveHello Franky
First of all thank you for your great plugin!
I would like to do/update the French version, I’m a French native.
Cheers,
JSBWed 6 Aug 2014 at 23:42 #52626FrankyKeymasterHi, please feel free to mail the translation files (.mo and .po) to me so I can include them for the next release.
Wed 31 Dec 2014 at 00:12 #53239AnonymousInactiveI’m using the Codestyling Localization plugin for translating, but I get the following message:
Loading Issue: Author is using load_textdomain instead of load_plugin_textdomain function. This may break behavior of WordPress, because some filters and actions won’t be executed anymore. Please contact the Author about that.
Fri 2 Jan 2015 at 11:37 #53252AnonymousInactiveHi,
if you need help for German translations please let me know.
Cheers
JKFri 2 Jan 2015 at 11:58 #53258FrankyKeymasterI’m always interested 🙂
Fri 2 Jan 2015 at 17:44 #53269AnonymousInactiveShall I pick up the PO file from the distribution or from somewhere else?
Here is a page with some references: http://www.sensorgraphy.net/translations/
BTW … where are you located in Belgium? Do you know Aachen in Germany?
Fri 2 Jan 2015 at 17:57 #53270FrankyKeymasterLook at this post in the thread for where to get the pot-file and what I use personally: http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?topic=call-for-translators/#post-46035
Concerning Aachen: I live in the Antwerp region (my address is on my home site btw), and I’ve been to Köhln already for a week for a client, but not Aachen 🙂
Sun 4 Jan 2015 at 15:38 #53291AnonymousInactiveOk – working on it – you should receive a German revised version next week!
Sun 11 Jan 2015 at 03:03 #53299AnonymousInactiveI updated the Dutch translation (not complete though, I skippped new lines for the rsvp and booking parts as I don’t use them).
Where do I find your address to mail it?Sun 11 Jan 2015 at 09:21 #53300FrankyKeymasterI already did some Dutch updates myself, but I welcome the extra work done by you. My mmail address is liedekef@telenet.be
Tue 5 Jan 2016 at 14:05 #55238AnonymousInactiveIt seems like the the strings are well-translated into Dutch. As I try to use the RSVP module, it looks like some part of the script doesn’t translate. The button “send your booking” is in english, as well as the subject strings in the confirmation e-mails. The allerts and forms are translated correctly. Is it me or some kind of bug?
Tue 5 Jan 2016 at 15:26 #55239FrankyKeymasterThat just means that not all strings are translated in Dutch. Concerning the mail subject: you have to edit these in the settings to be in a language of your choice (you can use qtranslate-like language tags in these settings to be multi-language compliant if you have qtranslate or a derivate).
Wed 13 Jul 2016 at 18:20 #55570AnonymousInactiveHi,
I could do french if this is anygood.
Thu 14 Jul 2016 at 19:28 #55626FrankyKeymasterSure, I’ll gladly accept all input.

Thu 31 May 2018 at 09:24 #58094FrankyKeymasterI no longer keep local language files, please go to
https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/events-made-easyFri 1 Jun 2018 at 14:32 #58103AnonymousInactiveThank, I got it late… sorry.
I tryed to translate a bit there and export testing po mo files. After copying to LANGS dir with names eme-cs_CZ.po and eme-cs_CZ.mo i still have displeyed english strings on site. I also tried name files as cs_CZ.po and cs_CZ.mo. But it did not help, can you plese advice me?Sat 2 Jun 2018 at 11:01 #58104FrankyKeymasterThey need to have the name of the plugin. So in this case:
events-made-easy-cs_CZ.mo
events-made-easy-cs_CZ.poBut if there really is a need for it, I can re-include the removed languages …
Sat 2 Jun 2018 at 11:34 #58105AnonymousInactiveI am ok to translate online, but I launched registration for the event yesterday and I need to translate some strings as soon as possible. I derived the names already from german version, but if I upload them into same location wp-content/languages/plugins plugin still work in English. I trued also eme langs folder, but plugin is still in English. It just about how to use temporary incomplete translation. Not all important messages are configurable in the plugin settings.
Sat 2 Jun 2018 at 15:26 #58106FrankyKeymasterPut the files in wp-content/languages/plugins , that should be better …
Sat 2 Jun 2018 at 18:56 #58109AnonymousInactiveOk, now it works, thanks.
Sat 8 Sep 2018 at 16:55 #58382AnonymousInactiveHi Franky,
Thank you for yours plugins !
I will use probably two of them in the website of my diving association.
We have not enough money to make a donation but I want to give you something.
That why i spend my time to translate your EME in french. It’s a good deal isn’t it ?
I have some questions for you like what is IPN ? I find many lines like “Contactperson Stop Subject Format:” or “Contactperson Stop Body Format Template:”
can you tell me more about them to improve my translation ?
if necessary can we exchange more easily than via messages on this forum?
Thank you in advance
