Can I take payment before or at the same time as registration?

I’m currently having the issue where people are registering and not paying. Is it possible to take payment then direct them to the registration form?

If there is no registration, EME can’t accept payments for the registration of course.

So in this case: you can either activate the “approval” option, and when people actually pay then approve it (and set the payment status to paid, this happens automatically if they pay online).

Or you can check on a daily basis who registered and decline those that did not pay (also via EME).

In fact, you need to review your business process in this case, EME can’t do that for you.

we’re doing events where people can either pay via paypal or via check, so their registration is approved regardless.

Once a registration is placed – is there any way to edit that registration ( number of seats, etc.) without deleting that record and starting over?

Is there any way to enable the “registree” to subsequently come back and edit their registration? TO date, the only way I can see to do this is to delete the original registration and have them start over.

Yes, the admin can change the registration, see “Change registration” in the EME menu. If you don’t see that link, check the rights in the EME Settings page, subtab “Access”
