Hi Franky,
I have probably not yet understood correctly how to cancel a booking (including e.g. a PayPal payment):
Is that only possible with the link from the shortcode “#_CANCELBOOKINGFORM”? I only found the option “Delete booking and move to the trash” in the administration area – but that is probably a different process and the appropriate RSVP email with the text for deletion is sent.
So can I also display the cancellation form as an admin or start the cancellation in another way?
Thank you!
As admin the “Delete booking (move to trash)” option is the one you’re looking for 🙂
It can send a different mail back to the booker (because it is not the booker that cancelled the booking), that can be configured either per event or globally.
When choosing that option, you can optionally chose to refund the booker (if the payment gateway supports it).
OK thanks – I’ve tried that now. The mail for the deleted booking was also sent correctly. But then I had to cancel the PayPal payment manually – it doesn’t seem to work automatically. Thanks very much.
Whe choosing the “Delete booking (move to trash)” option, an extra option appears to the right: ‘Refund if possible’ ==> if you want to (try to) refund, you should set that to “yes”
