The WP Capability Manager plugin mentioned in the EME trunk version readme file is not compatible with WP 3.2.1 and appears to have been abandoned by the developer. Does anyone here know whether the WP Role Scoper plugin is compatible with recently-added EME access rights management capabilities?
Well, for now I use capabilities, so any plugin that can add capabilities is ok. I didn’t do roles because it seemed more restrictive …
I’ll check out the Role Scoper plugin now.
Btw: the plugin “Capability Manager” does seem to work with 3.2.1 here (but I didn’t check if it is still in development).
The plugin “User Role Editor” can add capabilities, it seems to me the Role Scoper plugin does something differently.
I had a variety of problems trying to use Capability Manager with WP 3.2.1, went to the http://wordpress.org/tags/capsman support forum and found others had reported similar problems, found “Capability Manager Plugin currently supports only up to 2.9” at the bottom of this page http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities#edit_pages, and had 404 Errors when trying to load the developer’s web pages.
I will try the User Role Editor plugin.
Thanks.
