    I spent some time searching trying to find anything on this but I couldn’t – maybe I just didn’t use the correct search terms.

    I am adding events and have ONE event that I would like to stand out more in the list mode.
    Is there any way to change the color or formatting of a particular event?

    You can change the format using conditional tags I think. See the doc on conditional tags.
