Events Made Easy › Forums › How do I … › Change the location for error message when RSVP entry has an issue
Hi Franky,
is it possible to change the “error message” that EME is showing if an RSVP form is not filled out as expected, like missing a required field? My form is a bit longer and after sending the form with any issue in it the error message is not visible unless you scroll up, so I would love to have the error message displayed below or just above the send button instead of the head of the RSVP form? If this is not possible per default, please feel free to move this topic to the feature request section 🙂
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers
Joerg
Sorry, but no: if there’s an error that message should be shown already at the ‘top’ of your page, since you’re returned to the same page and “jumped” to that message already (the #eme-rsvp-message part in the url). If that’s not the case, maybe there’s an error or bug of course.
Can you show me such a form and tell me what to do to trigger an error message? Because required fields shouldn’t do that: the browser should even prevent you from submitting the form already then …
Hi Franky, the error message is shown as you said on “top” of my page – I simply want to let it show at the “bottom” as my page is so long that if there is an error you will not recognize is as you would have to scroll up!
