Events Made Easy › Forums › How do I … › Custom No Events Message For Specific Shortcodes
Hi,
I’ve looking to have sticky/featured events sitting above the main events list to give them higher priority. I don’t think there is a feature of making events sticky so I am achieving this with the following:
[eme_events category=1] ‘events to be marked as featured will have category one selected so they will appear here above other events
[eme_events category=2,3] ‘non featured events will have other various category numbers and will therefore appear in the 2nd list below featured events
This seems to be working ok (unless anyone has a better suggestion!!), except for one thing. It may not always be that a page has featured events and in these cases it is showing the no events message from the settings pages (currently default “No events”). I would like to keep a message in the no events message box as this is required when a whole page (2nd shortcode) doesn’t have any forthcoming events. However, I would like to be able to specify in some cases an alternative message or to have this blank (as in the case of the featured events detailed above, so if no events in category one it would display nothing, just list those in the other categories below, or if there was nothing in any of the categories on a certain page it would show nothing for the first shortcode for cat 1 but would still show the standard no events message for the 2nd shortcode).
Is there a way to override the default no events message for certain shortcodes only?
