Embed video code

Hi Franky

Just a query, on the posts and pages I can just paste a YouTube URL and the WordPress embed facility creates the player automatically. However, doing the same in an event listing just prints the URL. Is there a workaround to allow embedding.

I know the [video src="...."] shortcode works, but wanted to see if the simple version is possible.

The way wordpress does this is by calling an ajax function called wp_ajax_parse_embed(), but that only works for posts …
So sorry, not possible here (unless I rewrite the whole code to custom post types)
