Events Made Easy › Forums › Generic › EME Breaking Admin
I just encountered this today, it seems that Events Made Easy is somehow breaking my wp-admin on all sites where it is present. I turned off all plugins except for this one and it is definitely EME. Strangely enough, EME works on the front end, but just breaks my dashboard.
I’m having the same issue – Here’s the error that comes up after running the update:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_add_privacy_policy_content()
eme_gdpr.php on line 120
If I uninstall EME completely, and do a fresh install from WP, it doesn’t return the same error. However, I can’t do this for every client I manage.
Thanks!

Nevermind! I just did an install from WP and got the same issue on my company’s website… So both the update and the clean install are giving me the same error now.
Okay – so, it worked *after* I updated WordPress to the latest version. So I am thinking it has something to do with installing the latest version of EME before the latest version of WP. I’m not sure if this is necessarily a bug since it does work with the latest version of WP, but WP thinks its compatible with older versions, so… that may be a problem?
See https://wordpress.org/support/topic/update-fail-12/ , I just released a version that takes into account “older” wp versions (WP version 4.9.6 is days older than EME 2.0.32, so I assumed everybody already updated, and if not that people start with updating the core … 2.0.33 fixes it all)
Thanks, Franky! As usual, you’re the best!
My problem was that I’ve been on vacation for 2 weeks and no one had done any updating until I got back – but luckily I was being careful about my updates 🙂 Finding the pattern definitely helped.
