I updated to Events Made Easy from Events Manager Extended (4.0.2) and have a problem when adding a new event. The Event Date is greyed out and the calendar does not pop up. I reverted back to the Events Manager Extended version and the calendar popped up just fine, however, the time was greyed out and the locaitons were all foreign to our group.
Tue 3 Jul 2012 at 16:35 #49811AnonymousInactiveI reverted back to v1.0.0 and it seems to work just fine.
v1.0.1 and v1.0.2 seem to suffer from the same calendar issue.
.. and I just read about the “non-backward’s compatable” issue regarding the old plugin.
Wed 4 Jul 2012 at 08:16 #49812FrankyKeymaster1.0.2 should work fine, did you try to refresh/clean your browser cache?
Wed 11 Jul 2012 at 13:58 #49813AnonymousInactiveJust an update.
Tried the refresh with browser cache with the latest build (downloaded today) on two different computers and three different browsers. v1.0.0 still functions properly, but the latest v1.02 still a no show for the calendar. I’ll just stick with v1.0.0 for a while. If the problem still exists for several months, I’ll troubleshoot interference with other plugins. Thanks for your hard work as always Franky.
Wed 11 Jul 2012 at 21:40 #49814FrankyKeymasterIt is possible that another plugin loads a non-WP version of jquery, that might cause troubles. Look in the sources of the page for “jquery”, any instance loaded that doesn’t come from your own website might cause problems.
Thu 12 Jul 2012 at 17:54 #49815AnonymousInactiveI tracked my errors down to line 40 of ui.datepicker.js.
It said “zIndex is not a recognized function” or something to that respect.
I changed it “z-Index” with no luck, then changed it to just Index (both instances on line 40) and success – the calendar comes up.
Thu 12 Jul 2012 at 22:27 #49816FrankyKeymasterThis needs testing. Was it related to a specific browser?
Fri 13 Jul 2012 at 13:15 #49817AnonymousInactiveI used IE8, IE9 and Firefox 12 with the same results. I have another user that pointed out the problem to me and I’m not sure what browser he had. I used firebug to track down the site error. The error would pop up when clicking the mouse in the starting date and/or ending date boxes.
I tried isolating any problematic plugins that might be causing the interference, with no luck, but since no one else seems to be complaining, I would concur that there is something within my wordpress site that is the culprit. If I were you, I wouldn’t spend much time trying to recreate the problem unless others are having the same issue.
Mon 16 Jul 2012 at 09:49 #49818AnonymousInactiveHi ,
I’m having the same problem as pbarron: The “Event Date” field is greyed out and I cannot enter a date neither manually nor using the calendar pop-up (since it does not pop-up).
Since I am relying on this plug-in to publish my events, this is critical for me. Also a downgrade to version 1.0.0 did not help.
Please help.

Mon 16 Jul 2012 at 10:02 #49819AnonymousInactiveI managed to enter the event directly into the database. However, I don’t think this is a convinving work around.
Mon 16 Jul 2012 at 15:18 #49820FrankyKeymasterNormally it is another plugin that interferes with the jquery from wordpress, you should check that first
Sun 29 Jul 2012 at 11:39 #49821AnonymousInactiveThanks, I found the other plug-in and deactivated it.
