I’ve only just found this plug-in, thrilled to have found it, it will help me with the work I do for my local community. The thing I can’t work out, (probably because I’m way less clever than I think I am) is how to get the event listing to include a featured image, or an image included with the upload.
I can see there are loads of features, and I’ve found a few clues, but not enough to get me going on this.
So just for clarity, I’m fairly happy with the event listing as it defaults to, I’d just like the event image to appear on the left of each event in the list.
I think once I understand how you go about formatting the events listing, then I should be OK to play around and update it, so any kind of example might get me far enough.
Thank in advance for any help offered.

Find the setting “Event list format” and add the placeholder #_EVENTIMAGE to it. See https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/category/documentation/7-placeholders/7-2-events/ for all possible event placeholders.
And might I suggest you start with https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/category/documentation/3-installation-and-usage/Tue 4 Sep 2018 at 19:14 #58362AnonymousInactiveThanks for that it was enough to get me on the right route.
The plug-in is clearly very powerful with lots of potential features, I personally think the documentation could do with some help, especially with more examples of what is possible, as I think these examples give people a starting point.
The complexity maybe makes this a difficult task, but I think it would be rewarding and would encourage more to use it.
But clearly a lot of work has gone into getting things this far, and I’m certain it will suit my needs. I hope others also donate as a thank you for producing the plug-in.

Wed 5 Sep 2018 at 19:30 #58373AnonymousInactiveand the minute I understand it enough to make it work (and I am getting there slowly) I will help out. Stuff like this, that’s given away for donations will only survive if people help it survive, I get that, I want it to work, and so in learning to make it work for me, I might be able to help others.
However I think my needs are probably very limited compared to others, but at least it’ll be a start perhaps. My main issues are how to display an event in the format I want, and when I copy the link to that event and paste it into Facebook how to remove the text that comes out by default saying “do use this page or change it etc…..” as that is quite distracting!
Once I get past this I might feel like I know what I am doing.
Wed 5 Sep 2018 at 19:55 #58374FrankyKeymasterFor facebook, you need extra headers. See the FAQ here: https://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/faq/
, section “How to generate correct headers for a facebook-sharing plugin”
I think these headers will help with facebook directly too. Maybe I should make it just an easy to use option for those … -
