First off, we have various events that have been created, which are linked to here http://risabg.com/for-actors/master-class-and-workshops/
When you go to register for these events, things aren’t working correctly. This event, http://risabg.com/events/37/risas-advanced-new-york-master-class-saturday-june-9/, doesn’t have any seats showing up as available, so no one can select the form in order to sign up.
The approval email isn’t being sent to the individual that signs up.
When I click on the x next to people that are signed up to attend the class, it doesn’t go away.
These are a few of the issues. I’ve tried to deactivate the plug-in and reactivate, but that doesn’t seem to work. I’ve downloaded all the default files from the plug-in site and replace the old files on the server, but I’ve had no luck.
Any luck would be helpful because we really depend on this to provide the signup and income for our classes.
Thanks,
B
Wed 6 Jun 2012 at 11:16 #49774FrankyKeymasterThe “x” problem is fixed in the development version.
The mails: the webserver is sending out the mails by connecting to the mailserrver, so make sure this is all correctly configured. Look at your mail logs for that.
Deactivating/reactivating won’t change anything if for example the firewall blocks access from the webserver to the configured mailserver …

Thanks for your quick reply!
Unfortunately, I’m not sure what to make of your response. If the “x” problem is fixed in the development version, is this something that I should then install? If so, what is the proper way to do this? Is it listed in WordPress? Or is there an easy way to upgrade from my current version of “Events Made Easy”?
I’m not sure where to check my mail logs. And once I find them, how do I know if its configured correctly?
Any words of wisdom on these too would be great.
I figured out why the seats at the event http://risabg.com/events/37/risas-advanced-new-york-master-class-saturday-june-9/ wasn’t showing up. Somehow more people got signed up that there were spaces allowed, therefore there was a -1 in the Spaces Available. As a result, the form was still appearing on the site instead of “Bookings no longer possible: no seats available anymore”, but the seats wouldn’t display a number because there were none available. I changed the available seats to 19, which evened out the “Spaces Available” to 0, and therefore it now displays correctly. That might be something you want to explore in the coding though, if a negative number ends up in the spaces available.
Much appreciated!
Wed 6 Jun 2012 at 19:17 #49776FrankyKeymasterFor the “x”: see here if you already want to fix it: http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/521913
For the <0 issue with seats: fixed here: http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/554019 (just do the fix at line 537/538, the fiest fix is not needed)
For your mailserver problems: if you don’t know the correct settings, ask your webserver admin for them.

The “x” issue is now resolved! And I’ve installed the <0 code.
I’m very much appreciative!
