Hi there,
Even though I “add” an event in the backend and it says “New event successfully inserted!” at the top of the screen, I am not able to see any events, either on the Events page in the backend or in the front end.
Can you please advise why it’s telling me that I have an event inserted and I can’t actually see it.
Thank you

Thu 25 Nov 2010 at 12:08 #45429AnonymousInactiveI installed the plugin from the beginning as I hadn’t it installed previously. I just tried to deactivate it, reactivate it and add a new event. The same message comes up saying the same thing. Please see the screenshot of the message:

Any thoughts as to why this isn’t working?
Thu 25 Nov 2010 at 13:59 #45430FrankyKeymasterHmm … ok, did you take any look at the Settings page? EME needs a specially created Events page, and if you delete it, it won’t work. Also: what’s the version of EME/WP/PHP you’re running on? And do you see any errors in your webserver logfiles?
Thu 25 Nov 2010 at 17:38 #45431AnonymousInactiveHi Franky,
I checked the settings and it is asssigned to a new “Events” page which it automatically created. I haven’t added the page itself to the website yet because I couldn’t see any events in the backend, even though I added them.
WordPress Version: 3.0.1
Events Manager Extended Version: 3.2.8
PHP Version: 5.2.9
I checked the logs and there are a good few references to EME. For example:
83.xx.80.xxx – – [25/Nov/2010:12:04:09 +0000] “GET /wp-admin/plugins.php?action=deactivate&plugin=events-manager-extended%2Fevents-manager.php&plugin_status=all&paged=1&_wpnonce=e592502a62 HTTP/1.1” 302 – “http://www.feileacain.ie/wp-admin/plugins.php” “Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/7.0.xxx.44 Safari/534.7” http://www.feileacain.ie
Thanks for your help on this.
Thu 25 Nov 2010 at 19:34 #45432FrankyKeymasterThese are all good versions. The log is just an access entry, no meaning here.
I would need admin access to your site to check this out. You can mail it to me if you want: liedekef [at] telenet.be

I just emailed the login details for the site.
Thanks
Fri 26 Nov 2010 at 08:46 #45434FrankyKeymasterOk, you had EM 3.x installed before EME. See this post: http://www.e-dynamics.be/bbpress/topic.php?id=234#post-1106
I did this for you, everything is working now.
Btw: please update to 3.2.9 when you get the chance.
