Since the upgrade to EME, my events are not appearing in my calendar widget area. they are appearing on my main calendar page. I have a recurring event that was set up prior to the upgrade and that one DOES display in both calendars. I just can’t add any new events and have them show on the widget. Here is the link to the Home page (with the calendar widget):

Here is the link to the page with the main calendar:

    Any help would be appreciated.

What are your widget settings? I’m guessing you only show a specific category there.

EDIT: I have 2 categories – Class Schedule and Events. Events is checked.

And which category (or categories) do you show in the calendar widget, and which one for the main calendar?

OK, here’s what’s going on. The client set up an event to happen once a month (I thought it was a recurring even, but it isn’t). This was done before the change to EME. Those events transferred OK. He didn’t select a category, and there is no category selected from the dropdown in the widget area. These events are showing in the widget calendar.

I posted a test event, selected the “Events” category. Then went to the widget settings and selected “Events” from the dropdown. The new event still does not display, and the monthly events are gone too (obviously, because they don’t have a category assigned to them). I reset the widget dropdown back to no category, deselected the category listing for the test event and the monthly events display again, but the new event doesn’t. There is nothing different about the test event settings than the previous monthly settings. Strange.

Thanks for your help so far, by the way! Any other suggestions?

Hmmm … I’ll try your scenario here as well.

Edit: what is the status of the event (Public, Private, Draft)?

Edit 2: just tried it here and the event appears fine in the widget …

I found the issue. In the widget dropdown, there are names of all the users (3 of whom have admin rights). The dropdown is set to post events made by the Administrator. Once I logged in as the Admin and created a new post, it showed up in the widget calendar, as well as the main calendar page.

Once again, thank you so much for the leads. I’m glad this was a fairly easy (though not obvious) fix. This issue can be considered resolved.
