Feature requests for Category Description Fields

One of the great features of EME is the ability to categorize our events. We may be the exception to the rule, but we have over 150 event categories. We have used some abbreviations in our category’s NAME field to speed up event entry. We would like to be able to type in a DESCRIPTION of the category too for display on events via templates possibly by using a PlaceHolder for the Category Description.
An example of how we work is for instance events form our Division of Water Quality In San Diego has a NAME of DWQSD, I’d like to have the ability to display in the event Division of Water Quality In San Diego. Possibly support html in a text box so links could be part of description.

Although there are workarounds possible, I see where you want to go with this.
Some extra coding required of course … and donations are welcome 🙂
