Hi. I’m a volunteer at a coop who teaches classes. After way too many no-show students, I’ve been trying to set up pending reservations with partial success. I’ve hard tried to figure out what I’ve done wrong, but am at a loss. The emails have code in them, rather than the field value:

    Dear (Name is working),

your request to reserve #_RESPSPACES{xx} space(s) for Basic Maintenance Class is pending.

    TIA

Is your event multi-priced? If not, change #_RESPSPACES{xx} with just #_RESPSPACES

Thanks and no. If I recall correctly, I had problems with that, and changed it after a reading a posting about changes necessary a change in WP? Anyway, I’ll give it a try.

I deleted the “{xx}” but it’s still appearing in the email. Is there a cache or something I need to clear? Should I just create a template? Also, I’ve tried looking for a code for the event date without success. Is there one?

    TIA

    Registration Pending Email Format

    Dear #_RESPNAME,
your request to reserve #_RESPSPACES space(s) for #_EVENTNAME is pending.
If you chose to not pay at this time, you must send a confirmation email to mailto:name@velocitycoop.org or your reservation will be canceled.

    Received:

Subject: Reservation for Basic Maintenance Class confirmed

    Body:

    Dear [name is correct],

You have successfully reserved #_RESPSPACES{xx} space(s) for Basic Maintenance Class.
If you chose to not pay at this time, you must send a confirmation email to mailto:name@velocitycoop.org or your reservation may be canceled.

EME doesn’t cache things. If your resulting mail still shows this, maybe you are in fact using a template already … check your event definition for that.

“No templates have been inserted yet!”

and received another | Student name: NAME Spaces reserved: #_RESPSPACES{xx} Paid: No | and in fact they had just paid . . . maybe that’s a clue?

I’m not the “Web meister” and just noted there was an update to be applied. I went ahead and have applied it, hoping I don’t break anything. I’ll report back on what if anything has changed with applying the update.

    Thanks,

    Ron

Argg, I was looking at the incorrect place for the mail template(s). I needed to be on
http://velocitycoop.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=eme-options&tab=mailtemplates not where ever it was I was at. or maybe I missed selecting [Save] by not scrolling down far enough.

    My apologies.

Now to figure out why the paid notification is incorrect.

    Ron
