I would like people RSVPing to be able to see a list of others who will also be attending. I can see this on the sidebar, but I can’t see any way of it being shown on the page for that particular event.

What you want is already possible, see also the doc on booking lists and attendee lists.Sun 24 Aug 2014 at 12:20 #52726AnonymousInactiveThanks Franky for your prompt reply. I read the above links and created a template which allowed specification of attendee names and number of places. When this was viewed on the particular event page, it showed the name (as a part of the email address) and the number of places, but there was no way of a reader knowing that this was a list of attendees who had already rsvp’d. So I deleted the new format, and now I can’t get rid of the attendee name and places on the particular event page – it is still showing down the bottom as lyngain 2. Sun 24 Aug 2014 at 14:29 #52727FrankyKeymasterJust pt the explanation of what is shown aboventhe used placeholder or shirtcode, or in the event description itself.
In order to check your setup, I would need an admin account. If you want, mail it to me at liedekef@telenet.be, or play around more with shortcodes, placeholders, etc …Sun 24 Aug 2014 at 15:03 #52728AnonymousInactiveThanks Franky, did the second option. Not up for anything else – don’t even know what a placeholder is! I’ll google it some more.

Mon 25 Aug 2014 at 14:09 #52736AnonymousInactiveThis is very embarrassing Franky and I’m sorry to be such a nuisance. After all that, my colleague decided she didn’t want attendees to see who else was coming – and now I can’t get rid of them. As you know, I deleted the new template I used to add them, thinking that would revert to some default and remove them, but it didn’t. Then I tried re-creating the event, thinking that the deleted template wouldn’t operate on a new event, but the attendees still appeared. I know I should now make a new template without addressees in it, but, and this is the really embarrassing part, I can’t remember how I did it and I can’t find how to do it again – although I have re-read everything above until I’m going cross-eyed. It’s the bit that says “Basically, just write your html code in the usual way” that is the problem. I remember that there was some code at the beginning followed by an insert booking form placeholder, and that there was no maps placeholder because I unchecked maps, but I can’t find what the initial code should be. Is there an example somewhere of a default code for an event?
Mon 25 Aug 2014 at 14:12 #52737AnonymousInactivep.s. I don’t want to play around again in case I do something more drastic that I can’t undo.
Mon 25 Aug 2014 at 14:57 #52738AnonymousInactiveI think I just found it in Settings: “Default single event format” – looks right.
