Issues with "placeholders"

I have two error boxes appearing when I am in the Events plug-in. They are at the top of the screen and read:
“Events Made Easy placeholders warning
The legacy placeholders of Events Made Easy have been disabled. More info can be found in the documention
What? Tired of seeing this advice? I hear you, click here and you won’t see this again!”
and
“Events Made Easy placeholders warning
The use of deprecated placeholders is still allowed. Please note that, although these work just fine, you should switch to the new syntax because these might go away at some time in the future. More info can be found in the documention. This message will go away when the use of deprecated placeholders has been disabled.”

These appear regardless of where I am in the plug-in (ie. change registration, pending approvals, add new….)

In addition to this, when I attempt to register a new booking from the plug-in, I have a blank screen with only “send mails for new registrations”

I think I may have found the answer in “the documentation” section linked in the message. But I’m really not tech-savvy when it comes to changing EME general settings. I’m gonna give it a try and see if I can figure it out.

It is in fact a bug when you activated the captcha and try to register via the backend then.
For now: either deactivate the captcha or wait for the next version (it is fixed in trunk).

I seem to have a similar problem.

This
[events_filterform notcategory=10 multiple=1]
gives me, when used in the front end, this
Warning: strpos() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /www/htdocs/wxxx/wp-includes/shortcodes.php on line 386.

What am I doing wrong?

Please open a new topic, your problem is totally unrelated with the one fixed here.

Edit: and not even an EME bug. Please read: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-39-warning-strpos-expects-parameter-1-to-be-string , seems to be a theme bug after updating to 3.9 .
