Events Made Easy › Forums › How do I … › Jetpack Sharing shares event list instead of single event
Hi!
As I said in the title, JetPack Sharing shares event list instead of single event.
What do you think can cause this problem? I’ve read all I could here here various sites without any luck.
I hope you can help me.
Check the faq section in the doc on this site, you’ll find a jet pack reference in it.
Thanks for the quick reply. 🙂
I always start with the documentation and FAQ, and I have done a decent amount of search, but couldn’t find the solution.
I’ve checked my source and the only meta tags are the ones I’ve added in EME settings ‘Extra event html headers’. The Facebook debugger shows it coorectly.
I can’t figure out why Jetpacks grabs the og data from the original events page (which displays the list of events).
I’m not sure that I understand this, but you should never use the special events page directly.
Create regular wp pages with [eme_events] on it to show a list of events.
Thanks very much for your help. I didn’t realize that. I’ve created a new event-list page. My problem was not solved since the share buttons wouldn’t appear on the single event pages only on the new event-list page.
I guess I would have to change your code to be able to make them appear, but I don’t indend to do that.
In the end I decided to give up Jetpack’s sharing option and started using Simple Share Buttons (https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-share-buttons-adder). I could use a shortcode in EME settings in the single event page format section. It works flawlessly now.
Glad to hear you found a good workaround!
