Mandatory payment on RSVP

Hi,

My setup is quite basic and so far all is working wonderfully.

The one thing I’d love to be able to do is make payment (in my case via PayPal) mandatory during the RSVP process i.e. as you submit booking you are taken straight to payment without having to select button etc…

Is this currently possible? If not is it something you would consider adding to a furture version?

Currently not possible. And since multiple payment methods are possible (paypal, 2checkout, …) it’s very difficult: only if one payment method is choosen it would be possible. But then this needs to be done very different as it is now …

This answer was a little over 5 years ago. Is there still no way to do a mandatory payment on an RSVP? This is a big enough deal that we would have to switch to another service because of it.

Use the per-event option “require approval” and “auto-approve after payment”.
After that, just activate the CRON function to remove unpaid payments after X minutes (it is a separate menu). This option is currently not per event, but I’ve had no such requirement for that until now.
