It would be nice if the map would display when using [eme_locations_map] in a text widget. Is there something simple preventing the map?
Work-around: I had to use a content block as a widget area in order to get the map to work.
Enable the EME option “Enable shortcodes in widgets” and it should work 🙂
Haha! Missed that!
Thanks!
lol
Well, turned on that setting and tried it, but the map still didn’t load in a Text widget.
Again, this is not critical to my site, but if it is a bug or something I figured you would want to know.

I just tested this feature again (shortcode in widget) and it seems to be working just fine: the locations map shows as expected. So maybe in your case it is a theme issue?
Hmm… maybe.. Thanks
I just stumbled across the problem here with my map not loading. Apparently, I cannot load two maps on the same page.
I’m working with a responsive design. When my breakpoint hides the first map and reveals the repositioned “mobile” map, the second map will not load.
It this something that you would be able to address, Franky, or it Google maps issue?
2 times the same map uses the same div-id (html-speak), which causes one of the 2 to be empty. Circumventing that would require some work: create unique id’s, extra javascript loop to find all the divs etc … can be done …
It took me some hours to get it working, but it will be in the next version.
I did not expect you to go ahead and take care of that for me. Thank you so much!
My JS skills are terrible and it would have taken me quite some time!
