Hi Franky,
I was setting up membership for adults and children. As we all know, most children do not have an email address yet and since members are linked to wordpress accounts, this created a situation for which we had to add another plugin (Allow Multiple Accounts) to overcome this issue. So far so good 🙂
But now reminder mails are sent out (first setup, we created all the members based on old excel file) and offcourse the payment url sent out, refers only to 1 wordpress person.
Is there a way that payment url’s can be created based on all linked members to 1 email address?
And can these url’s be placed on a webpage? I thought with _PAYMENT_URL, or is that only in templates? Best way is every user has it’s own unique email address of course 😉Thanks for any feedback 😉
Kind regards

Is that what you’re looking for? Linked persons (in the persons section) is just informative and not really used otherwise.
Wed 8 Dec 2021 at 16:12 #63552AnonymousInactiveIt’s more like this: different memberships (one for adults who have to pay ie € 20 and one for children who have to pay € 10
Children are defined as aged below 18 and in some cases, but not always, they have the email address of the parent filled in as contact email address. As we also want to have a member only part on the site, I checked the box “create wp account” in the membership definition.
But there the uniqueness of WordPress comes up ofcourseI saw you implemented the plugin on a local dog training school as well, do they also work with different memberships as well, or is it more like a family account where you can have multiple members and they all pay the same price?
Wed 8 Dec 2021 at 16:27 #63554FrankyKeymasterThe local dog training school has both options in fact: they use a regular membership with 1 price and a family membership with another price (both prices are fixed, but for the family membership the number of members is limited only in code to 10 or so).
Also in the case of family membership and “create wp account” the problem would come into play for identical email addresses (the family members with the same email as the “head of the family” would not get a wp account). That is a wordpress limitation I can’t get around …Wed 8 Dec 2021 at 16:39 #63557AnonymousInactiveI see, the same struggle 🙂
And indeed there is the WP limitation (which I thought to get around with the other plugin, but I am facing same issues again right now)I will have to see for other solutions I guess, maybe without wordpress logins but still based on membership with EME, but in the end, having the same email address for different natural persons will remain an issue…
