New WP and EME install: Not showing map, location, buttons, etc.

Hi, I just reinstalled WP 3.3.1, dropped all db tables before install, then installed EME. When I click on the Events menu link, I see 3 events. After clicking on Orality event, I see only Orality in James Joyce Conference, 12 Jan 2012 – 16:00, and Galway.

From what I remember, there should be a map, location, reservation button, and some other stuff. See for yourself: http://v2.cacclc.org

Check/change your format settings (for events, single event, locations, etc) in the EME settings page to your liking using placeholders. See here for all possible placeholders: http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/?cat=23

E.g. for the map to appear, put the #_MAP placeholder in the location format settings (or in the event format) etc …

EME doesn’t know how you want things to appear, so you have to specify this yourself.

Thanks Franky. I saw your response to other similar problems but wasn’t sure if that was the same issue.

I am now getting the hang of it. Perhaps, you could draft a quick start guide which you can add to the yellow tool tip box, next to the settings link or something.
