Events Made Easy › Forums › How do I … › Not able to switch back from invite-only registration
Hi Franky,
I just switched registrations back from invite-only, to open and nothing is changing!
I already removed the cache, but nothings working?
What am I doing wrong?
I now have a problem with a registration and it is causing somewhat distress…
Oh, it just needed time to change? It took like half an hour?
Same thing happened when the registration re-opened, after a registration was disapproved. People can’t see the registration form. Could it be something with the cache of my website?
Edit: yes, after removing cache, registrations were visible again for visitors.
Then you need to deactivate your cache for the special wordpress events page (or set it much shorter). Personally I recommend against caching plugins in wordpress because of issues like these (a caching plugin trying to cache pages created dynamically via php???). It causes issues with nonces as well, so I don’t do it (a difference is optimizing JS and css files).
Thanks for the tip, did not know you could exclude pages from cache. Added this path to exclude:
/events/*
The cachetime is already quite short, 24 hours.
Hmm, I’m not that well educated on this part. Having cache-plugins do make the website faster? I wouldn’t know how to optimize CSS or JS files to be honest.
But I will be more careful now with the plugin. If something like this happens again, it’ll go exit. : )
