Hello,
I have just installed this plugin on to my website. It looks superb in regards to the features it has to offer!
I believe my request isn’t a bug, but it would be good to confirm that my issue is something not related to the script itself for the form isn’t processing properly.
I have created an event, I have pasted the appropriate short code on to a page I have setup. I want to charge 5 pound for the event. I have altered the PayPal settings (ensuring that I have entered a valid PayPal email address)
I have configured the event to auto approve the event up on payment and I have made sure that the PayPal mode isn’t on test mode.
When I try filling the form out e.g. Name, email, phone, seats and comments, I clicked the Submit button.
After a few seconds, instead of the checkout process, the page just loads the same page with empty form fields with no signs of any confirmation message or PayPal button appearing.
After logging in to WordPress even though the script is set to approve on payment, it still has added the user to the “People” section of the admin panel even though a payment hasn’t been processed.
There seems to be no process where the user can pay at all for their booking. I know that this isn’t a bug in regards to the script as I’m sure everyone would of been posting the same issues. Although, I’m just wondering if you have an idea with how I could resolve this?
Thanks,
Josh.Tue 22 Apr 2014 at 10:20 #52008FrankyKeymasterWhen you create/edit the event, do you set activate the paypal option there?
Also, being redirected without any confirmation message sounds weird. Is there no yellow bar above the submit form indicating the booking success or failure?
What are your settings for the “Booking recorded message” ?Tue 22 Apr 2014 at 13:13 #52010AnonymousInactiveFranky,
Correct. PayPal is the only payment method I have ticked by default under the RVSP section when creating a new event.
After submitting the form, it reserves the space for the attendee, but the form just literally refreshes itself. There is no confirmation or failure box to be seen. I can imagine what would happen if the script was working correctly, I thought a yellow box would at least appear.
After the form has been submitted, the user is taken back to the empty form as if they haven’t filled it out. The user still gets booked within the back end as a new entry is made under the “People” section. The Paid status is set to No.
Thanks for your help with this.
Tue 22 Apr 2014 at 13:17 #52012FrankyKeymasterCan you set up a test event for this, so I can check? Mail me the link: liedekef [at] telenet.be
Also, if possible: give me a temporary admin account, so I can check directly on your side.Tue 20 May 2014 at 18:33 #52215AnonymousInactiveHello, I am experiencing the same issue as stated above. Further, when I create a new event and assign RSVP credentials and pricing, the new event shows up as Free:(price) in the events dashboard. I’ve also received 500 errors when creating an event and enabling the RSVP/event price feature.
Wed 21 May 2014 at 10:10 #52220FrankyKeymasterThe problem the person had in this thread was that the template he was using was not following WP standards at all. Does yours?
Also, what are those 500 errors you’re talking about?Wed 21 May 2014 at 20:19 #52228AnonymousInactiveHi Franky,
We are using a standard, free wordpress theme provided by WP developers themselves, so I don’t think that is the issue.

Even after setting a price and quantity of tickets, there is no price shown on the front-end single event page, or when I use the price shortcode. It connects to paypal fine, but for some reason the price does not show?
When creating an event through the events dashboard, I receive a 500 Internal Server Error that only occurs when I set RSVP options for an event. If I choose not to set a price, I do not receive an error.
If you’d like to create an event on the backend yourself to see what I am mentioning, I will create credentials for you to do so.
Thanks!!
Wed 21 May 2014 at 20:42 #52229FrankyKeymaster500 Internal Server Error indicates a php issue. Either a coding problem, memory, missing modules or something else. Did you check your webserver logfiles for info?
It is possible that you have captcha activated but your php doesn’t have the needed modules for it. So try disabling the use of the captcha.
Also, please do send me credentials so I can test (but still check for errors in the webserver logfiles).Wed 21 May 2014 at 21:38 #52230AnonymousInactiveHi Franky. Disabling the captcha plugin resolved everything. Thank you so much for you help! This plugin is an AWESOME tool!!
Wed 21 May 2014 at 23:53 #52234FrankyKeymasterNo prob, the next version will test this better so the captcha won’t be activated unless the php-gd module is present.
