PayPal button encryption problem

I’ve set up a new event that requires Payment via PayPal – when I click on the Pay button PayPal rejects the payment:

“The seller accepts encrypted website payments only. You cannot pay the seller through un-encrypted buttons. Please contact your seller for more details.”

Can anyone help with this?

For the moment the encryption button is indeed not encrypted. This needs certificates to be installed on the server. The code for that is not difficult to add (the paypal library is ready for it), but just not done yet. Maybe I can do a small “howto” later on already.

Just another question. Can you edit the text here?

“You can pay for this event via paypal. If you wish to do so, click the ‘Pay via Paypal’ button below.”

As “paypal” should read “PayPal”. I’d also like to tell them they have the option to pay via BACS
