    I activated permalinks then i had 404 problèmes with Manu events. Si I desactivated permalinks but Nolwenn i steel have problems on some events.

    Any idea how to solve this.

    i think maybe the problem came from wordpress 3.1

    but I just updated and in my 404 error report I have many errors on events

    all url that starts with “plat-programm” are events url

    You did not specify the site, but I figuredd it out from the logs, I see no issues there. Eg.

    http://restaurantparticulier.com/events/?event_id=3158

    works just fine.

    The problem with the permalinks is because the slug “events” gets translated, but in 3.1 the accents are not removed (difference in 3.0 and 3.1 in a function of wp). I corrected this in the development version, but I will also add the possibility to define a permalink manually per event.

    Some permalink-related problems in WP 3.1 were fixed by changes in 3.1.1. I don’t know whether any of those fixes changed the “events” slug translation issue, but they might have. This WordPress trac custom-query lists the changes in WP 3.1.1:

    nope, the function sanitize_title_with_dashes (in wp-includes/formatting.php) used to call remove_accents (iirc) but it no longer does. I found this ticket+changeset:

    ok I removed the accents manually and no more 404 errors are happening
