the #_EVENTPAGEURL link only work without query var language specification
if you have ‘?lang=de’ at the end of the evant list page and click a ‘more details’ link which is
set by #_EVENTPAGEURL the ‘?lang=de’ goes in the middle of the URL and you get a ‘not found’
and if you manually move the ‘?lang=de’ at the end of the given URL you fallback in the eventlist page
do you have any ideas/hints?

Wed 5 Oct 2011 at 11:42 #48797FrankyKeymasterAgain something to test first, might be a bug
Wed 5 Oct 2011 at 14:43 #48798AnonymousInactiveif I put the default language it works
http://....../events/<id>/<title>/?lang=en
but fails not found with
http://....../events/<id>/<title>/?lang=de
same for url like
http://....../events/?event_id=<id>&lang=en
and
http://....../events/?event_id=<id>&lang=de
fails
Thu 6 Oct 2011 at 10:19 #48799FrankyKeymasterHmm … I tried all possible combo’s and found no issue with any combo. Maybe it’s another multilang plugin doing this?
Thu 6 Oct 2011 at 10:20 #48800FrankyKeymasterI see: wpml.
I support qtranslate in my plugin.
Thu 6 Oct 2011 at 14:36 #48801AnonymousInactiveWPML also have the choice of “per directory” language selection, the if I set this option
the url of the event list becomes
http://obswsx1/wordpress/astroevents/en/all_events/
and if I click on an event page
I do get
http://obswsx1/wordpress/astroevents/en/events/305/wie-schwarz-sind-schwarze-locher/
but instead of the event URL it display the all event list page
Thu 6 Oct 2011 at 14:41 #48802FrankyKeymasterThat’s because it’s changing the SEO url’s, but not the rewriting rules behind it …
Thu 6 Oct 2011 at 14:50 #48803AnonymousInactivealso forgot to say, if I try to go to (event page in english site)
http://obswsx1/wordpress/astroevents/en/events/?event_id=305
the /en/ part is removed and I go to the event page in french site(default)
if I try to go to (event page in german site)
http://obswsx1/wordpress/astroevents/de/alle-ereignisse/?event_id=305
I only the the event list in german site
Thu 6 Oct 2011 at 14:54 #48804AnonymousInactivefor the moment I have the old version of the site which you can access to see
http://www.astronomyevents.ch/all_events/?lang=en
then click on one of the more details to go to an event page and you will fall in the full event list
in french
Mon 31 Oct 2011 at 17:34 #48805AnonymousInactiveHello Franky
can you explain me?
“That’s because it’s changing the SEO url’s, but not the rewriting rules behind it …”
Is it possible to correct the problem or do I have to throw away my site build with EME?
Now that people french, german and italian, are used to insert event with your plugin, I do not know
what to do
thanks a lot
Mon 31 Oct 2011 at 17:40 #48806AnonymousInactiveIs there a way to keep the language specification ‘/de/’ or ‘?lang=de’ in the detailed page event url, so the site, menu and navigation stay in the specified language, when the event page is displayed?

Mon 31 Oct 2011 at 19:10 #48807FrankyKeymasterI’ll *try* to support wpml after the next release (this week), but for now I can’t help you here. Either you switch to qtranslate or you wait …
Mon 18 Jun 2012 at 15:43 #48808AnonymousInactiveHello Franky,
if you are interested I finally manage to make some modifications to the latest version of EME to make it works better with WPML (at least correct the things that were not working for me), if you are interested to test/review, I will send you the code
Gilles
Mon 18 Jun 2012 at 20:46 #48809FrankyKeymasterSure, please do send them to me: liedekef@telenet.be
Thanks already!
Mon 18 Feb 2013 at 10:03 #48810FrankyKeymasterFor those interested: WPML doesn’t seem to be a free plugin anymore, so I can’t support it. If somebody gives me the needed changes, I can incorporate them, but otherwise no WPML support will be done.
