Is it possible to have the link in #_LINKEDNAME placeholder translated by qTranslate? The name itself changes, but the link points to the page in the default language.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I hope this will get a fix soon, because I really love this plugin. I’ve tried many of them, and this one has by far the best integration with qTranslate. Still there are a couple of points to be fixed.

If I find a solution, I will post it here.

As I said: currently not possible, since the “slug” (last part of SEO link) is calculated at event creation time, so it stays the same after that. I might change the logic though …

I run a website in 5 different languages and need the “Default event list format header” to appear depending on the chosen language. How would i achieve this? I use qTranslate. Thanx for any hint!

It’s a one-liner change. But before I start telling you to change the source code, why would you need to do this? You can change/add any qtranslate part in the pages you’re using the event shortcodes on, so it should not be necessary to add language-dependant text to the event list header format.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m using a page called “events” showing my list of all events. When adding text there it’s not being showed on the page itself. I don’t see a way to add a multilingual introduction on top of an event list.

Never use the events page directly. Use shortcodes on regular wordpress pages.

For a list of all shortcodes and options, see: http://www.e-dynamics.be/wordpress/

Ok, good point. Thanx for the hint. By the way: Any news or progress on the actual problem of this thread? I also desperately need a calendar view in every language, but since clicking on an event always brings me to the default language i can’t use the one the plugin provides.

Well, this should now be fixed with this:

I updated the to the newest version and got a strange problem now. Clicking on an event in the calendar view doesn’t bring me anywhere but keeps me on the same page. I also tried permalinks but without luck. Any ideas? Check http://50.hapimag.com/kalender/.

Check your EME setting for the Events page, it is probably empty.

You were right, the page was missing. Instead i’ve got another issue: When switching the language to ENGLISH and browsing trough the months in the calendar using the << and >> functions the entries change back to the default language (which is GERMAN in my case).

Please open a bug report for this.

No, on this forum, just create a post in another subforum called “Bugs”
