Recurring entry error

Hi,

I successfully entered a non-recurring event in EME today. I then tried to enter a recurring entry, and did not get any error message, but every edit or save entered a new instance of the event in the events calendar. I would set the event up as a recurring weekly event and after saving, the “recurrence” checkbox would not stay checked, and the recurring event info in the left column of the Future Events editing window would be blank. There would be multiple instances of the weekly event.

I was using the following when the error occured:

WordPress 3.1.2

Theme: Swift 5.73

Plugins:

Askimet 2.5.3

cForms 11.6.1

Count per Day 2.71

Events Manager Extended 3.3.4

Mobile Press 1.1.5

Sociable for WordPress 3.0 5.13

WP Hide Post 1.1.9

I have recurring events that work OK. I did those several months ago. Since then WP has been updated to 3.1.2 and probably several of the plugins have been updated. WP Hide Post would be the most recent addition.

I have deactivated all plugins except EME and the event gets entered and shows up as a recurring event, but still creates additional identical entries everytime the event data is saved.

The saving error of multiple instances doesn’t seem to happen when non-recurring events are saved.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting this?

Make sure you edit the recurrence, and not one of the individual events from the recurrence.
