Is it possible to Register a booking manually without the person receiving the Approval email?
thanks
Mon 24 Oct 2011 at 15:41 #48936FrankyKeymasterNo, not possible. If you don’t want that: use a different email address than the real one for that person.
Wed 26 Oct 2011 at 20:31 #48937AnonymousInactiveit is weird cause when entered manually the person receives the first email, but not the email that he/she would received after I have approved his/her registration…
Wed 26 Oct 2011 at 21:12 #48938FrankyKeymasterThey should 🙂
Lots of bugfixes have happened since the latest release. I’m 99,5% ready to release the next version.
Thu 27 Oct 2011 at 11:11 #48939AnonymousInactiveok cool, I am waiting for it.
Thank you Franky
Thu 17 Nov 2011 at 19:20 #48940AnonymousInactivestill the same with the new version.
any idea?
Thu 17 Nov 2011 at 19:28 #48941FrankyKeymasterDid you check the mailserver logs to see if the mail was generated and send?
Sat 19 Nov 2011 at 21:55 #48942AnonymousInactiveI see in the database, that a person registered manually, is directly set to approved = 1.
This is why.
Can you make an option for this while registering a person manually?
thanks
Sun 20 Nov 2011 at 16:10 #48943FrankyKeymasterIf you don’t want to do the approval, you can disable it in the RSVP settings per event.
Mon 21 Nov 2011 at 18:50 #48944AnonymousInactiveACtually I want to do the approval, but the system sets all the manual registration to 1 by default, so I can’t use the approval…
Mon 21 Nov 2011 at 19:53 #48945FrankyKeymasterIf you do manual registrations from within the backend, what’s the point of needing approval?
If you do require approval, do it from the frontend …
Wed 23 Nov 2011 at 15:55 #48946AnonymousInactiveok I get what you mean
We use the approval system as a registration validation for when customer have confirmed by phone
thank you
Tue 6 Dec 2011 at 09:52 #48947AnonymousInactiveIndeed, if I do manual registration from within the backend, this means that the person is already approved (set to 1) which is ok (otherwise as you said I should enter him/her from the frontend).
But that means he/she should reveived the approved “customer” email, not the “registration pending” email. Can you change that?
Thank you
Tue 6 Dec 2011 at 10:03 #48948FrankyKeymasterThe flow is like this:
– if approval is required (in the RSVP setting for the event): user registers, gets pending mail, and then the approved (or denied) mail when approval is done
– if approval is not required: user registers and gets approved mail
– for direct registrations in the backend, no pending mails should be sent, but direct approved mails. If this is not the case, then this is a bug. Is this the case?
Tue 6 Dec 2011 at 14:03 #48949AnonymousInactiveyes it is the case, there is a bug then.
for registrations made in the backend, instead of approved mail, the pending mail is sent to the user.
Let me know if you update the version
Tue 6 Dec 2011 at 22:05 #48950FrankyKeymasterconfirmed as a bug and fixed in trunk:
Wed 7 Dec 2011 at 10:26 #48951AnonymousInactivenice, thank you very much, I am using this a lot
Wed 7 Dec 2011 at 13:41 #48952AnonymousInactiveit works great now, thanks for your quick response.
