RSS feed problem with line break

I’m having a problem with the RSS feed. It has recently started showing the in the screen output rather than interpreting it as a line break when displayed on my website.

Displaying events on the blog site works perfectly, it’s just the RSS feed to my main website that has the problem.

The RSS feed format on the blog site is as follows

RSS main title: jivacoustic

RSS main description: jiva – Upcoming Shows

RSS title format: #_NAME

RSS description format: #j #M #y at #H:#i #_LOCATION #_ADDRESS #_TOWN

RSS Pubdate usage: Yes

The feed details for FeedBurner are: http://jivacoustic.co.uk/wordpress/?eme_rss=main&scope=future&order=ASC&limit=0

Example event listing on the blog site shows:

Can you please advise what the problem might be, and if/how it can be fixed?

Replace <br/> by the correcter <br /> , should help

I tried your suggestion and the display on my web page has been updated, but it is still not correct and shows the entry with a space after the br and before the /

Wherever there is supposed to be a line break it shows:

left chevron br space / right chevron

Hmm … indeed: while it works locally, it doesn’t work on a remote host.

Try this fix:

Copied those two files to my site, over-writing the originals, and it now works like a charm.
