Share an Event on Facebook

When I copy the event url and paste it in Facebook, it does not display the actual event and a featured image. So how do I fix that?

You need to add proper facebook headers for that to work. See the FAQ, search for “How to generate correct headers for a facebook-sharing plugin” (I hope facebook correctly uses those if you present the url directly).

We are not using FB sharing plugin, we just copy and paste the url in FB. Since I have Yoast installed, I followed the instructions in the FAQ’s “How to make EME and Yoast play nice together?”. I even deactivated the Yoast SEO. I still get the information for the main calendar page and not the single event page.

The headers are directly used by facebook, so you need to follow the instructions.
