Show events page in lists?

Not sure exactly what the best practice is here…

I’m using the auto-generated page but a comment in the settings page says:

Check this option if you want the events page to appear together with other pages in pages lists.

This option should no longer be used, it will be deprecated. Using the [events_list] shortcode in a self created page is recommended.

Does that mean I should go back and create an actual page for it. I can already see the benefit but I’ve just spent ages getting it right the other way!

Thanks again though – will donate a 2nd time once I’ve finally cracked it

The best is indeed to create your own page, where you can use all the shortcodes and the options to your liking.
